Canadian Mental Health Association York Region - Family Support Group (Virtual)
The Family Support Group assists families and caregivers to increase their knowledge of mental illnesses, get support and obtain the tools they need to make informed decisions. It is designed strictly for family members and caregivers caring for a loved one with mental illness. The Family Support Group is also available in Chinese, Farsi, Tamil and Urdu.

Chimo Services (Richmond, B.C)

Chinese Mental Health Promotion Program (Vancouver, B.C.)
The Chinese Mental Health Promotion Program improves the lives of individuals in the Chinese community by increasing awareness of mental health issues, promoting wellness through recreational and leisure activities and reducing the stigma associated with mental illness.

Community Family Services Ontario (Scarborough, Markham and Mississauga, Ont.)
CFSO provides professional counselling, settlement, disabilities, and special needs services to individuals and families in need. Offer services in English, Cantonese, Mandarin and Vietnamese.

Hong Fook Mental Health Association (Markham and Toronto, Ont.)
Ethno-cultural community mental health agency with a consolidated culturally competent team serving Asian and other communities in the Greater Toronto Area. Hong Fook provides a continuum of mental health services covering the spectrum from “promoting wellness” to “managing illness” in Cambodian, Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin), Korean, Vietnamese and English.

Kelty Mental Health Resources (B.C. Children’s Hospital, Vancouver, B.C.)
A provincial resource centre that provides resources in all areas of mental health and addictions, such as how to support children and youth with mental challenges and different types of therapy. Resources available in Punjabi, Chinese and Korean.

South Asian Canadians Health & Social Services (SACHSS) (Brampton, Ont.)
SACHSS offers culturally and linguistically appropriate services, for South Asian men, women, seniors and youth, and other communities.

South Asian Therapists

Provides parent education and support with a cultural emphasis. There are opportunities to develop social networking, parenting skills, sharing experiences, promoting friendship, community resources, enhancing family life and relationships.
