The Blossom Mental Health Fund is the registered non-profit arm of RepresentASIAN Project dedicated to strengthening the mental health and well-being of Asian Canadians.

Asians are less likely to access mental health services compared to other ethnic groups due to cultural stigma, systemic barriers, discrimination, and limited access to culturally aligned care.

We exist to change that.

Our mission is to reduce stigma, expand access to care and invest in the long-term sustainability of Asian mental health support in Canada. We aim to do this by supporting individuals, shifting cultural narratives, and strengthening the professionals who serve our communities.

Our team is made up of Asian Canadian mental health professionals, media creators, and storytellers — many of whom bring both clinical expertise and lived experience. We believe in the power of storytelling to create belonging, reduce isolation and normalize conversations around mental health.

The Blossom Mental Health Fund is a space for collective growth — where stories are honoured, access is expanded and care systems are strengthened.

This is where our stories bloom—and where our care systems grow.

OUR PILLARS

We invest in Asian mental health through three interconnected pillars:

STORIES, EDUCATION & RESOURCES

Shifting Culture

Storytelling plays a vital role in normalizing mental health within Asian communities. It builds understanding, fosters compassion and challenges the stigma that often surrounds conversations around mental health.

Through storytelling, media and culturally-informed educational resources, we work to normalize help-seeking and expand conversations around mental health. We create and curate accessible content, practical tools and community-informed materials that reflect the lived realities of Asian Canadians.

When stories are shared and knowledge is accessible, stigma begins to loosen — and connection strengthens.

THERAPIST NETWORK

Strengthening Infrastructure

Sustainable community care requires supported providers.

The Blossom Asian Therapist Network is a curated professional community for Asian-identifying licensed mental health professionals practicing in Canada.

The network facilitates responsible referral coordination, supervision connection, peer consultation and professional collaboration across provinces and practice settings.

By strengthening connection among clinicians, we invest in the long-term sustainability and continuity of Asian mental health care nationwide.

THERAPY GRANTS

Expanding access.

Access to care should not depend on income.

Through our Therapy Grants program, we provide financial support to Asian Canadians facing economic barriers to psychotherapy. Applications are reviewed by mental health professionals, and selected recipients are matched with culturally aligned therapists.

By reducing financial obstacles, we help make mental health care more attainable for those who need it most.

Note: Our grants program is currently on pause. Please check back for updates.

Our Vision

We envision a Canada where Asian mental health is not marginalized, misunderstood, or under-resourced — but fully supported at every level.

A future where:

  • Asian Canadians can access care without stigma or financial barriers

  • Mental health conversations are culturally grounded and normalized

  • Asian clinicians are connected, supported and sustained in their work

True change requires more than awareness. It requires access, infrastructure, and collective investment.

The Blossom Mental Health Fund is committed to building all three.
